Nintendo 3DS Live Event to Reveal U.S. Launch Date and Pricing

From PC World: Keep your browsers close to hand, because Nintendo's set to divulge final launch details at joint press events in New York and Amesterdam this morning. The press event's been a "thing" since December 20, when the company announced it'd make, well, another announcement on January 19.

What'll we learn? Not much we don't already know about the 3DS itself, but regarding availability, all we've heard is that the system's coming to Japan on February 26, 2011 and that it'll go for 25,000 yen (currently $304 USD).

Everywhere else, we've been speculating March 2011. That's it. No prices, no regional timetables, no specificity whatsoever.

Today's event should finally answer those questions (and others we hadn't thought to ask) courtesy a presentation by Nintendo of America COO Reggie Fils-Aime. It'll also offer hands-on time with the device and demos of anticipated games we suspect no one's seen yet. We may also learn what'll be in the handheld box, and the lineup of launch titles.
