New iPhone Isn't Expected in June or July

From PC World: New claims that Apple will not release a new iPhone in June or July this year have emerged.

According to Mac Rumors, an AT&T representative claims to have been told by Apple that there will be no June or July launch for the iPhone 5.

The less-than-startling revelation was made in a conversation between the representative and a customer, who fed the information on to Mac Rumors.

The AT&T staffer reportedly said that "Apple has informed us that they do not plan to release the iPhone in the June to July timeframe, though there will be a newer version in the future. Unfortunately, we have not been given a release time for the new phone".

Traditionally Apple announces its new iPhone models at the WorldWide Developer Conference that takes place in June of every year.

However, rumors have been circulating for several months now that the iPhone 5 won't be ready by then and that an iPhone 5 launch is likely to come in September instead. Some sources reckon it might not happen until 2012.
