From Forbes: We know a great deal about Samsung’s (very expensive) Galaxy S10, but a flurry of major leaks over the Christmas period have now taught us a lot more. And they stem from Samsung itself…
Thanks to a supply chain slip-up, Samsung has accidentally confirmed exactly what the Galaxy S10 will look like. And fans of the Galaxy Note 7 will be in for a surprise.
In a series of tweets, Samsung industry insider Ice Universe has confirmed the Galaxy S10+ will be almost identical in size to the Galaxy Note 7 after the leaker managed to obtain an official Samsung case. This comparison is extremely impressive as the 2016 phone fitted a 5.7-inch display and Ice Universe states the Galaxy S10+ will squeeze a massive 6.44-inch screen into the same size chassis (153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm / 6.04 x 2.91 x 0.31-inch).
Ice Universe was also able to demonstrate how Samsung will achieve this as the Galaxy S10+ bottom bezel (or ‘chin’) will be even smaller than both the iPhone X and Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
The official case also confirms Samsung will realign the Galaxy S10+ cameras, placing them horizontally with an upgraded triple camera (plans for a quad camera were recently scrapped) and Ice Universe notes that charging speeds will increase too.
