From DailyTech: Photos of the upcoming Facebook phone have made their way to the internet, and many are saying it looks like a large iPhone. It was recently confirmed that HTC would be making the hardware for the Facebook phone, and that the device is supposedly called HTC "first." By the looks of the photos circulating around the Web, the "first" looks like a large iPhone -- but with a colorful touch. As you can see from the photo, the HTC device comes in red, white and light blue. There is also a black model. The HTC device will be powered by the Android operating system with some Facebook flavor. It is not expected to be a full rewrite of Android, but rather a version that is just heavily integrated with Facebook's different features. It is said to have a Facebook homescreen and native apps like Facebook Messenger. The phone could provide Facebook news feed stories right on the home page, link your phone contacts with those who are also Facebook friends, etc. It is expected to be a full social phone experience. There has also been talk about a Facebook launcher rather than a fully customized Android OS. View: Article @ Source Site |
