From The Verge: At CES 2019, Samsung announced the latest versions of the Notebook 9 lineup of laptops: the Notebook 9 Pro and the Notebook 9 Pen. Today, the company revealed that the two computers will be available starting on March 17th.
The Notebook 9 Pro is the more radical update of the two: Samsung has scrapped the sloping curves, bubbly corners, and painted plastic feel of the previous generation for a sharper design with beveled edges and tighter corner radii for a more modern design that looks and feels like a premium flagship again. Prices will start at $1,099 for the base model with a 13-inch 1080p display, 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. Samsung will also offer a $1,299 version that doubles both the RAM and storage space to 16GB and 256GB, respectively.
Samsung also has an updated Notebook 9 Pen, which keeps the same uninspiring design from last year’s model, but it gets an updated S Pen, more USB-C ports, and a new 15-inch option that joins the 13-inch model in the lineup. The 13-inch model will cost $1,399, with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. The 15-inch version upgrades the RAM to 16GB, and it will come in two configurations: a $1,599 model with integrated Intel graphics, and a $1,799 version with a discrete Nvidia MX150 GPU, which also will offer double the storage with a 1TB NVMe SSD.
