Nokia 4.2 Launching in US for $189

From PC Mag: Not everyone wants or can afford a high-end smartphone, and I'd argue many who own one probably don't need all the features. For those who'd like to save hundreds of dollars there's a number of budget-friendly Android smartphones out there. The latest to see a release in the US is the Nokia 4.2.

First announced back in February, HMD Global has now decided to sell the phone in the US. Unlike the $1,000 high-end phones, you'll only need to spend $189 to get your hands on the Nokia 4.2. In return for your cash, you'll get a phone sporting a 5.71-inch 19:9 LCD screen with a resolution of 720-by-1,520 pixels. It runs Android 9.0 using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core system-on-a-chip, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. Power is provided by a 3,000mAh battery.

The 4.2 has a dedicated Google Assistant button, but it's a triple-function affair. Press it once and Google Assistant pops up to help. However, press the button twice and visual snapshot is triggered offering an overview of your day. Alternatively, you can hold down the button and Google Assistant will remain active for your ongoing queries.
