From Forbes: These latest CAD images were first posted on SlashLeaks, and confirms a number of elements that have been discussed.
First of all, Apple is continuing to go with what will likely be the widest notch on a premium smartphone in 2019. While Android designers are working on innovative solutions including smaller notches, punch out holes, cameras that tuck inside the body of the smartphone, or that shoot through the display; Apple continues with the same obtrusive design that it 'innovated’ in 2017.
Then there is the camera housing. Looking more like an induction cooker hob from Ikea than something from a company with a significant reputation for classic design, the multiple lenses and sensors are crammed together in an awkward square hub that is pushed into the top corner of the smartphone.
Thanks to the obsession with ‘thin’ the profusion is easily noticed, rather than being the cutting edge of fashion, Apple’s flagship iPhone is already associated with an #ugly design decision.
