New Apple AirPods Pro Add Noise Cancellation for $249

From PC Mag: Apple today introduced a Pro version of its AirPods wireless earbuds, which come with active noise cancellation and adjustable eartips for $249.

AirPods Pro promise to fit in more people's ears by swapping out the hard plastic design of the originals for flexible silicon ear tips that you can change to fit your ear size. These silicon ear tips, which will come in three sizes, will also provide a "superior seal" to deliver better sound, Apple says.

Another notable change to the Pro version is sweat- and water-resistance at an IPX4 rating, meaning they'll withstand splashes from water. On the noise cancellation front, the AirPods use two built-in microphones and software to remove background noise from intruding in your audio experience.

The Pro version has also been built with Apple's "Adaptive EQ," which the company says uses computer algorithms to tune the audio to the shape of your ear. "A custom high dynamic range amplifier produces pure, incredibly clear sound while also extending battery life, and powers a custom high-excursion, low-distortion speaker driver designed to optimize audio quality and remove background noise," the company said.

Expect the Pro version to have five hours of battery life in audio listening mode, or about the same as second-gen AirPods, which arrived earlier this year. With the wireless charging case, the Pro version can get over 24 hours of listening time, and 18 hours of talk time.
