LG Reveals 4K OLED TV Range For 2020 - Including New 48-Inch Model

From Forbes: Having whet our appetite a couple of days ago with details of its eight-strong new 8K TV range, LG has now announced its 2020 range of OLED 4K TVs. Which sees one all-new series coming in, and one old OLED series bowing out…

Out is the E series. Designed to provide a high-quality audio experience to go with LG’s customary excellent OLED picture quality, I can only guess that the E series sales have been hit by the surging soundbar market, and perhaps the rather unimpressive audio performance of 2018’s E8 range. The 2019 E9s (reviewed here) actually got the concept back on track in performance terms, but I guess it just didn’t sell well enough to make LG happy.

Replacing the E Series is a new GX Gallery series. These stylish models feature ultra-minimalist designs with a super-thin profile - just 20mm at their thickest point. What’s more, they ship with a specially designed mount that allows them to hang completely flush to your wall. Basically they appear to be LG’s attempt to offer something similar to its wafer-thin Wallpaper OLED series at a cheaper price.
