Amazon Adds 2 New Color Options for Kindle Paperwhite

From PC Mag: If you're looking to purchase a new e-reader, Amazon just gave the color conscious among us two new reasons to consider buying a Kindle Paperwhite.

The $130 Paperwhite is Amazon's mid-range e-reader, sitting between the $90 Kindle and $250 Kindle Oasis. When it launched back in 2018, it was available in just one color: black. Then in the summer of 2019 we got a twilight blue option. This week, as The Digital Reader first spotted, Amazon expanded the color options to four. Alongside black and blue, it's now possible to order a Paperwhite in sage or plum.

Nothing else seems to have changed on the e-reader. For $129.99 you get 8GB of storage, but the same new color options are available on the $159.99 32GB model. Both models use a 300ppi display, five LED frontlight, offer "weeks of battery life," and are IPX8 waterproof-rated. If you're upgrading from an old Kindle, it's possible to get some money knocked off the price by using Amazon's trade-in program. On some of the later models you can get $20 back, for example.
