CD Projekt Red Offers Apology and Refunds for Cyberpunk 2077

From PC Mag: Cyberpunk 2077 may be incredibly popular, but it's also suffering major performance problems on the PS4 and Xbox One. They are so bad, developer CD Projekt Red has felt the need to apologize and offer refunds to disgruntled players.

As Eurogamer reports, the apology was made via a tweet, with the developer stating "First of all, we would like to start by apologizing for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase. We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One."

The tweet goes on to explain how updates are in the works to fix all the bugs and crashes happening in the game. One round of updates has already been released and the next is promised within seven days. Two larger patches are then planned for early 2021, with the first arriving in January. However, CD Projekt Red is also keen to temper expectations, stating, "They won't make the game on last-gen look like it's running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to that experience than it is now."
