Microsoft's Xbox Game Streaming App Adds Touch Controls, Higher Resolution

From PC Mag: The latest version of Microsoft's Xbox Game Streaming app for Windows will bring xCloud streaming to Windows PCs soon.

According to The Verge, the latest unannounced and unreleased Xbox Game Streaming app lets Windows users stream games from both xCloud as well as their Xbox Series X|S consoles.

This is something that's currently unsupported with the Xbox Console Companion app. In addition to streaming games, the app lets you turn on your Xbox console and sign in to play remotely. That means you have the freedom to play from virtually anywhere.

The app also delivers touch support for Surfaces and additional touch-based devices to play Xbox games on without a controller. Apparently the gyro support seems to be on its way as well, though there's currently no way to fully enable it. Both control inputs are useful additions to an already expansive set of options for users.
