HP Preps 7 New Gaming Monitors With 165Hz Refresh Rates

From PC Mag: If you’re in the market for a PC gaming monitor, HP is preparing seven new sub-$500 products.

They're part of the HP X Series gaming monitor lineup, and several models are already available for order on the company’s website. The rest will arrive in the coming weeks and months.

All seven monitors feature a 165Hz refresh rate, a 1-millisecond response time, and AMD’s FreeSync Premium technology to prevent screen-tearing during gaming sessions. The monitors also feature HP’s "Eye Ease with EyeSafe Certification," meaning they emit less blue light.

The most expensive model is the X34, which lands in September for $459. The 34-inch monitor features a flat, ultra-wide screen with a 3,440-by-1,440-resolution for a 21:9 aspect ratio. The product itself uses an IPS panel with HDR 400 support.

If the ultra-widescreen is too much, HP created the X32, a 2,560-by-1,440 monitor with a more traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. The 31.5-inch monitor will arrive later this month for $389.
