From PC Mag: Bose’s QuietComfort 35 II has ranked among the best noise-cancelling headphones on the market since its arrival in 2017. But if you're ready for an upgrade, Bose's new Quiet Comfort 45 promise to deliver longer battery life and a new ambient mode.
The company retains the design of the QuietComfort 35 II, so expect similar aesthetics and fit, though Bose removed the "pleats and puckers" from the ear cushions to avoid a wrinkled look.
Quiet Comfort 45 updates the onboard noise cancellation system. Bose is nixing the 35 II's noise-cancelling High mode and Low mode for a “Quiet” mode that silences the ambient noise around you once switched on, and an Aware mode that beams in ambient noise—handy for when you’d like to talk to a friend without removing your headgear.
“In Aware mode, the QC45 headphones switch to full transparency, where everything is heard again—just as naturally, clearly and quickly— without ever taking them off,” the company says.
