Apple Card owners appear to hit snags with iPhone 13 preorders

From CNET: Apple Card users are apparently running into problems when trying to pay for iPhone 13 preorders, which kicked off Friday morning.

Numerous people said on social media they got error messages when they tried to use their Apple Card to pay for an iPhone 13 preorder. So much so, it became a trending topic on Twitter. Some CNET staffers also reported problems.

Apple acknowledges on its system status website that it is having an "issue" with Apple Card. The notice reads: "Some Apple Card customers are not able to make iPhone Upgrade Program purchases."

Apple Insider earlier reported that the problems seem to be related to Apple's iPhone Upgrade Program. Other purchases made with Apple Card are reportedly going through.

Apparently, the only way to fix the issue is to use another method of payment. But if Apple Card owners do that, they miss out on the 3% cash back that they normally would receive when they use the card to buy Apple products.
