From PC Mag: Twitter is testing Circle, a feature that lets users publish content with up to 150 of their nearest and dearest.
Rather than sharing with everyone, Circle looks like an experiment to see if we want to limit the exposure of what we tweet, when, for example, sharing a personal moment, want to ask for advice, or simply desire to limit responses from trolls.
"Some tweets are for everyone and others are just for people you've picked," the Twitter Safety team wrote in a Tuesday announcement.
In a separate email, Twitter confirmed that, "As of now, we are testing Twitter Circle, a new way for you to choose who can see and engage with your content on a Tweet-by-Tweet basis. This experiment is now available to a small group of people globally on iOS, Android, and web. You can learn more about the feature in our Help Center."
