From PC Mag: Logitech expanded its MX range of peripherals today with two new wireless mechanical keyboards and a mouse.
The MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini(Opens in a new window) use low profile keys and Tactile Quiet (Brown) switches for a quiet typing experience, but both Clicky (Blue) and Linear (Red) switch options are available. The keys are backlit, with smart illumination automatically adjusting the brightness to suit the lighting conditions. A number of backlighting effects are available (breathing, wave, reaction, contrast, and random), which can be changed by pressing the Fn and bulb keys at the same time (or using the Logi Options+ software).
The wireless keyboards connect either by using a Logi Bolt USB receiver (included in the box) or Bluetooth and can be paired with up to three devices. Logitech ensured compatibility with Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, Android, iPadOS, and iOS. In terms of battery life, you'll get 15 days on a full charge with backlighting on, or up to 10 months if you turn it off. A 15-minute fast charge gets you a day of use.
The MX Master 3S mouse(Opens in a new window) uses a Darkfield high precision sensor rated at 1,000 dpi, but you can adjust the rate between 200-8,000 dpi in 50 dpi increments. There are seven buttons available, and a very quiet scroll wheel using MagSpeed Electromgnetic scrolling for up to 1,000 lines per second, according to Logitech. The mouse also integrates a second thumb scroll wheel and has a dedicated gesture button.
