DoorDash Offers to Pick Up Packages From Your Home

From PC Mag: Food delivery service DoorDash is expanding the range of services it offers to include returning packages so you don't have to.

The new service is called Package Pickup and allows customers to request a Dasher to come and pick up a prepaid return package from their home. The package will then be dropped off at a local carrier location, such as FedEx, UPS, or USPS, and a photo taken to confirm delivery. Each Dasher can pick up a total of five packages at once for a flat fee of $5, or $3 if you're a DashPass member.

By launching Package Pickup in early January, DoorDash is hoping the service will prove popular by allowing consumers to "avoid the headache of post-holiday returns." As an added incentive to try it out, DoorDash is offering to pick up your first return package for free during January. The offer (and service) is available to 95% of Americans, according to the company.
