From CNET: Fresh N Lean, the popular premade meal delivery service based out of California, appears to have shuttered suddenly.
The healthy meal subscription, which is CNET's current pick for best prepared meal delivery for 2024, posted a message on its website on Thursday. "After 14 years of service, Fresh N Lean was suddenly forced to shut down by 'lenders,'" it reads. "We deeply appreciate our customers and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for years of support."
While no further information was provided, a link to order Fresh N Lean meals or begin a new subscription showed a 404 error message.
Fresh N Lean was started in 2010 by then 18-year-old Lauren Asseo, and was one of the first in a new line of healthy premade delivery options to capture the attention of busy people looking to eat better. The service sent premade healthy meals to service a variety of eating plans, including keto, vegan, Mediterranean and high-protein diets. It was known for its use of whole foods, quality meat and seafood, and organic produce.
