YouTube Promises Fix for Blurry Videos on iOS, Desktop, Smart TVs

From PC Mag: If you noticed a sudden drop in the quality of YouTube videos recently, you're not alone. After many users complained, YouTube has promised to roll out a fix.

“We’re aware some of you are experiencing lower than usual video quality when trying to watch Videos and Shorts,” YouTube wrote on a support page on Wednesday. “Rest assured, we’re actively looking into this.”

YouTube also added that some users, even with strong internet connections, may experience videos streaming at 144p or 360p. They might also encounter buffering when attempting to increase the video quality. Without stating the reason for the issue, YouTube said it is impacting iPhones, desktops, and smart TVs.

“We’ll update this thread with new information as soon as it becomes available,” YouTube added on the support page, where over 7,100 users have reported facing the problem.
