Ayaneo’s Pocket Play mashes a gaming handheld with a sliding phone

From PC World: Modern smartphones are lighter, thinner, and faster than ever, but one thing they aren’t is stylish. I know because I’ve been looking for something that stands out from the sea of oblong rectangles in every phone store, and it’s been rough going.

I love the look of this slick little Android device because it reminds me of the old Motorola Droid Razr I used to own, which had a screen you could slide over the keyboard to cover it when not in use.

The Ayaneo Pocket Play looks a bit more evolved, as it sports a 6.8-inch 1080p OLED touchscreen powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chip. Beneath that sliding display is a pair of touchpads as well as a plain old-fashioned D-pad and set of buttons, suggesting this thing could be great for both classic and newer games.
