From DailyTech: Nikon has announced a new point-and-shoot camera called the CoolPix S1000pj that adds something no one has done yet, and it is very interesting. The camera is the world's first to integrate a projector into the design. The camera can throw an image of up to 40-inches wide from 2 meters away from a wall or screen in VGA resolution. The projector isn’t going to offer the best looking images, but it is much better than having friends or family crowd around the 2.7-inch LCD to see the pictures on the camera. Other than the slick projector, the camera features a 12.1-megapixel sensor and ISO sensitivity up to ISO 6400. The lens is a 5x zoom unit and the camera comes in either black or silver colors. Nikon ships the camera with a remote control to allow you to change the image being projected from across the room and the remote can operate camera functions as well. the exact U.S. pricing and ship date for the camera is unknown, but it will sell for £389 in Europe. Along with the S1000pj camera, Nikon is also introducing the CoolPix S70, S640, and S570 point-and-shoots. The S70 features an organic EL touch screen that is 3.5-inches diagonally. The cam also sports touch shutter that lets you focus and take pictures by touching the spot you want on the LCD. The cam can also record HD video and will sell for £339. View: Article @ Source Site |
