When it comes to the Epomaker Carbon X, there are many things to make people fans of this mouse. For one, its porous carbon fiber design results in a mouse that tips our scale to 45g. Despite these numerous holes, the body is not weak at all and stands up under pressure. The shape is easy to get used to with its ambidextrous shell. I also like the surface feel of the mouse, which is comfortable and easy to hold on to. All the primary and secondary buttons are in easily accessible places while staying out of the way of accidental presses. Their presses are quick and offer good tactile and audible feedback. The internal 300mAh battery is sufficient, lasting over two weeks without needing to worry about charging. The three operating modes of use with the wireless adapter, Bluetooth, or wired are appreciated, especially since it means you can charge and use the Carbon X at the same time. The Control HUB WEB application was satisfactory in configuring and setting up the mouse without needing to install any software on your system. Finally, the performance of the Carbon X is a strong point, offering excellent tracking and control without perceivable input lag thanks to the excellent PixArt PAW3950 sensor. I was unable to find any flaws while using the mouse, which is not something we can always say. On the other hand, there are still some things to keep in mind with the Epomaker Carbon X. For one, its perforated shell above and below means dust, debris, and water can get inside and accumulate, which is something you will need to watch out for. Secondly, the braided cable is not very flexible and will drag around when attached to your mouse. I would have much preferred a paracord-like cable instead. At the time of the review, the Epomaker Carbon X retails for under $70, which puts it at a reasonable price. With a strong and light design, the Carbon X will make a fan out of you.
