Epomaker CIDOO C75 Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

The Epomaker CIDOO C75 is definitely an excellent contender when it comes to Hall effect keyboards. The premium packaging was great, offering great safety measures and tools to better customize your keyboard right out of the box. The CIDOO C75 has an aluminum case that comes in either Silver or Black, which offers excellent build quality. The appearance is nice, offering a clean exterior and a good base for customization. The lighting options are quite appealing, despite not having shine-through keycaps. However, I also appreciate like the dye-sub PBT keycaps included here. The CIDOO C75 uses CIDOO Driver, which allows you to rebind keys, customize your lighting settings, setup macros, and utilize your Hall effect switches' full potential with options like enabling quick trigger. I would be careful when using these types of settings in gaming, as there have instances of bans happening with this technology. That aside, the switches in the keyboard are the Gateron KS-20U Magnetic White Hall Sensor Switches. which are excellent switches in their own right. The typing experience was quite nice, and offered a deep tone due to the excellent usage of foam and materials. Upon opening the keyboard, I found an excellent build with deep and intricate methods such as force breaking the top and bottom frames. This level of detail was something I did not expect, but was greatly appreciated. Something that did bother me was the slightly deceptive marketing on the product page, indicating the usage of a gasket structure. Instead, this keyboard uses an isolated top mount. Personally speaking, an isolated top mount makes more sense in making full use of the Hall effect switches, but is not advertised as so. The other thing you should be aware of is the lack of any height adjustment, which might be a deterrent for some. At a price of $205 USD at press time, the Epomaker CIDOO C75 is not cheap, but it is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a 75% keyboard that offers Hall effect switches.
