At the end of the day, the Epomaker MS68 may not change my keyboard size preferences, but I do not think its attempts are in vain. Epomaker shows off an excellent build quality in a compact body. The MS68's aluminum body is strong and does not easily flex. Visually, its colors match with the overall visual theme. With multiple color options available, you are likely to find a model that fits your desires. We also have excellent materials for its keycaps. Internally, we have multiple layers of foam and plastic to provide a good tactile feel. The included switches, the silent Epomaker Sea Salt, may not be to my preference, but there is no denying its strong characteristics with smooth action. Combining all this together, we have a quiet but heavy typing experience. Typing on this keyboard did feel a bit slower with its longer travel distance and higher bottoming out force, but in practice, it did not affect my typing or gaming abilities. Other appreciated features include three different connection modes and a small screen to add a bit more personality to the MS68. In terms of its software, the Epomaker MS68 is compatible with VIA, which most keyboard enthusiasts would appreciate. However, there are a few caveats that may be more of a deal breaker. First, we are missing some secondary functions like media keys or the tilde. Next, there are no integrated kickstands to change the overall incline. The softer keyboard deck may also not be preferable to users, unless they are looking for as quiet a keyboard as possible. In terms of wireless capabilities, the battery life on the Epomaker MS68 is quite poor. I also would want a place to keep the wireless USB transmitter when it is not in use. Finally, the lack of a 1000Hz report rate, even when physically connected, is a bit disappointing. At the time of the review, the Epomaker MS68 is available for $130. Overall, the MS68 is an attractive and quality keyboard, but there are some areas where they could have improved upon for a more complete experience.
