About ATTO Disk Benchmark

The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

Following up next are our usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is an often-quoted benchmark because it is easy to use and accurate. For the most part, it is a favorite among reviewers and I have grown to embrace it as much as the next for the last little while. ATTO uses easily compressible data, so compression-heavy controllers will perform very well here. As far as the Phison PS5018-E18 on the KC3000 is concerned, well, here are our results. It peaked at 6970MB/s read and 5660MB/s write. Under the curve, the KC3000 was quite comparable with the Gammix S70 Blade and traded blows with the WD_BLACK SN850 up to 64K for write, but pulled way ahead of both drives at 128K and above. In the read test, the KC3000 was considerably faster than the SN850 up to 2K, was edged out by the WD_BLACK between 4K and 32K, but pulled way ahead beginning at 64K all the way to the end. The S70 Blade and KC3000 was surprisingly similar up to 32K. Between 64K and 512K, the KC3000 absolutely dominated, but the S70 Blade pulled back up and came out slightly ahead of the KC3000 from 1024K all the way to the end. Overall, the Kingston KC3000 1TB's performance is excellent even compared to other performance SSDs on the PCIe 4.0 interface.
