HP is Giving Customers What They Want: Windows 7

From DailyTech: To say that Windows 8 has been controversial is putting it lightly. Many long-time Windows customers have been left frustrated by Microsoft’s touch-centric operating system, and efforts to correct mistakes with Windows 8.1 have only slightly reduced the number of pitchforks raised in protest.

Well, Hewlett-Packard has apparently heard the cries of its customers and is responding appropriately. Neowin notes that HP is actively promoting (unlike its competitors) computers pre-installed with Windows 7 as being “back by popular demand.”

HP is even being generous by giving those that choose Windows 7 instead of Windows 8 a $150 discount off their purchases.

The follow-up to Windows 8.x is scheduled to be released in April 2015.
