Sony Announces Slim PlayStation Vita, Borderlands 2 Bundle for US

From DailyTech: Sony has announced a new bundle that will include the new “slim” PlayStation Vita and Borderlands 2. Sony hasn’t given an exact launch date for the new bundle, but did say that it will be available in the U.S. this spring.

The bundle will include the new PCH-2000 series PS Vita, the Borderlands 2 video game, six DLC packs for the game, and an 8GB PS Vita memory card for game storage. The bundle pack will sell for $199.99.

The PS Vita included in the bundle is 20% thinner and 15% lighter than the original. The slim PS Vita also comes with 1GB of internal storage and a 5-inch touchscreen.

The slimmer portable device promises 4-6 hours of game play per battery charge compared to 3-5 hours with the original. The new console is also good for up to 7 hours of video playback per charge, up from five hours with the current console.

Borderlands 2 on the PS Vita will use the front touchscreen and the rear touchpad. The six DLC packs included in the bundle are Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, Psycho Character Class, Mechromancer Character Class, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1, and the Collector’s Edition Pack.
