Xbox March Update Roll Out Begins Today

From DailyTech: If you are an Xbox One gamer, the March update for the game console has started to roll out today. The new brings changes for multiplayer features just for the hotly anticipated game Titanfall, which will launch on March 11.

Some of the major changes the March update brings include a friends list on the homepage of the Friends app. Party chat is now on by default and you can now chat with friends playing different games. The “Invite friends to game” option is now accessible in multiplayer tiles.

The update also adds a list of recent people you have played with to make it easy to stay in touch with them. The big new feature is support for Twitch Live streaming. This will work when the new Twitch app launches on March 11.

Dolby Digital sound is now supported via optical output and support for 50Hz output for European gamers will be welcome. Other features in the update include voice commands for adjusting volume up and down. Support for new Xbox One accessories include the Media Remote and Stereo Headset is now included. The web browser on the console is also improved to make for easier searching.

Microsoft has also made it easier to install a sound bar with users no longer needing to type in the model number for most sound bars. Other general improvements have been made with the update including a new passkey feature to protect your user settings.
