ECS Gets Ready for AMD Trinity: Unwraps World's First FM2 Mainboard

From X-bit Labs: Elitegroup Computer Systems this week introduced the industry's first mainboard with FM2 socket designed for A-series Fusion accelerated processing units code-named Trinity from Advanced Micro Devices. The A85F2-A Deluxe mainboard, in addition to four less advanced offerings, are announced months before AMD finally releases its A-series "Trinity" chips for desktop computers.

ECS A85F2-A Deluxe mainboard in ATX format sports FM2 socket for future AMD Fusion A processors and features two PCIe 2.0 x16 slots for graphics card upgrades and CrossFireX support, as well as three PCIe 2.0 x1 and 2 PCI slots for other cards. The platform supports up to 64GB of dual channel DDR3 memory with a maximum official speed of 1866MHz, or up to 2300MHz for overclockers. The mainboard has seven Serial ATA-600 ports with support for RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10; additionally, the motherboard is equipped with 6 USB 3.0 ports, 8 USB 2.0 ports, 1Gb/s Ethernet, 8-channel audio, eSATA-600 connector, HDMI, DVI and D-Sub outputs.

The industry's first FM2 motherboard - ECS A85F2-A Deluxe - boasts with enhanced stability and reliability since they belong to the NonStop family of products. ECS NonStop mainboards utilize 100% solid Apache long-life capacitors; feature a special circuitry, consisting of dozens of extra components, that protects expensive and delicate chips, like the microprocessor, memory and other from electrostatic discharges; and undergo three exhaustive stability tests.

The A85F2-A Deluxe is bundled with Norton AntiVirus software, Muzee, Cyberlink Media Suite, and the ECS iEZ utility, which includes the eBLU BIOS Live Update Utility, the eDLU Drivers Live Update Utility and the eSF Smart Fan Utility.

In addition to the A85F2-A Deluxe, four other models will be released with the socket FM2: A75F2-A2, A75F2-M2, A55F2-A2, A55F2-M3. All FM2 mainboards with AMD A-series Fusion "Trinity" APUs will support up to 4 displays with AMD Eyefinity multi-display technology, HDMI Deep Color and many other features.
