Toshiba Launches WT310 11.6-Inch Tablet Running Windows 8 Pro

From DailyTech: Toshiba has gone official with its latest Windows 8 Pro tablet. This Toshiba WT310 has more in common with an average ultrabook than some of the other tablets on the market and features an 11.6-inch full HD resolution display.

Toshiba is staying mum on some of the details of the tablet, such as which exact Intel Core processor it uses. It's also unclear how much storage capacity will be featured, though that storage is via a SSD. The tablet also has a SD memory card slot for storage expansion and a USB 3.0 port.

The tablet is aimed specifically at business users featuring enterprise-oriented features such as Trusted Platform Module, Active Management Technology, and antitheft software. Toshiba will offer the tablet with an optional docking station making it easy to connect to external accessories.

Other hardware features for the tablet include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and optional LTE mobile broadband capability. The tablet does support Intel WiDi wireless display technology and features a digitizer pen as an optional input method. The tablet has a touch sensitive screen, measures 9 x 7.5 x 0.5-inches, and weighs 1.8 pounds.

Toshiba is also not offering up any pricing details on the tablet, but we’re guessing that it will be priced more along the lines of the Surface Pro rather than Surface RT.
