Nvidia Updates Lineup with GeForce GTX 760 Graphics Adapter

From X-bit Labs: Nvidia on Tuesday added yet another graphics card into the GeForce GTX 700 family of products. The GeForce GTX 760 is yet another graphics card based on the GK104 graphics processing unit announced a year ago that is available at considerably more affordable price-point than the predecessor. Performance of the novelty should bet between GeForce GTX 660 Ti and GeForce GTX 670.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 is powered by a cut-down version of GK104 graphics processing unit and features 1152 stream processors, 96 texture units, 32 raster operating units as well as 256-bit memory bus. The chip is clocked at 980MHz, whereas 2GB of GDDR5 memory operate at 6GHz. The GeForce GTX 760 includes Nvidia GPU Boost 2.0 technology, which automatically increases the GPU's clock speed for enhanced performance, while adding temperature target and fan controls, as well as extra over-voltage headroom and optimizations for advanced water-cooling solutions.

The new graphics card fully supports modern high-end features like DirectX 11.1, OpenGL 4.2, OpenCL 1.2, stereoscopic-3D, 4 multi-monitor capability, PhysX, 3-way multi-GPU, PCI Express 3.0 and so on.

"For gamers seeking insanely fast performance and smooth frame rates for their favorite games, the choice is clear: Nvidia GeForce GTX GPUs. At a starting price of only $249, the GeForce GTX 760 ushers in a new level of performance, features and affordability, so gamers can experience today's most graphically demanding titles with all the eye candy turned high. It's a great time to be a PC gamer," said Scott Herkelman, general manager of the GeForce GPU business at Nvidia.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 GPU is available now from the world's leading add-in card suppliers, including Asustek, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac. Partner participation will vary by region. Pricing is expected to start at $249.
