Best Buy Steals Google's Thunder, Already Taking Pre-Orders for New $229 Nexus 7

From DailyTech: Google is set to announce Android 4.3 and a new version of its Nexus 7 tablet today, but Best Buy has already gone and spoiled all the fun by putting up pre-order pages for the new tablet complete with images and full specs.

The 11.2 ounce, 7" tablet is just 0.3" thin and runs Android 4.3 (which still has the Jelly Bean designation). It features a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 8064 processor with 2GB of RAM, Adreno 320 graphics, 5MP rear-facing camera/1.2MP front-facing camera, 802.11n, and Bluetooth 4.0. The biggest news, however, is the inclusion of a 1080p display.

Although Best Buy is taking pre-orders for the new tablet, it doesn't yet have an official release date -- you'll have to wait until Google's official announcement later today for that information. But if you would like to purchase the new Nexus 7 tablet, the 16GB version will set you back $229 while the 32GB version is priced at $269.
