Next-Gen iPhone to be Unveiled September 10

From DailyTech: The newest member of the iPhone family finally has an official debut date, and the budget iPhone may make an appearance that day as well.

Apple has announced a special event on September 10, which is expected to be the unveiling of the next-generation iPhone. Some of the expected updates are a better camera, faster processor and even some new tech like a fingerprint sensor.

The new iPhone will also feature Apple's latest operating system, iOS 7. It was introduced at Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference (WWDC) in June, and has been in testing ever since. IOS 7 features a dramatic redesign from previous versions in regards to the look of the icons and menu. The color scheme is much brighter and gone is the skeumorphic design of icons attempting to mimic real-world objects. Many have described it as "flatter" but with a new sense of depth thanks to layers and the frosted glass effect.

The new OS also has some improvements like Control Center (allows you to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to quickly access Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/Screen brightness etc.), AirDrop (allows you to quickly share files with friends that are nearby), FaceTime audio (high quality voice-only calls over Wi-Fi), Notifications Sync (if you dismiss a notification on your iPhone, it is also dismissed on your iPad), and “iOS in the Car." Siri also got a boost with new, high-quality female and male voices.
