Sony mulls launch of PlayStation Vita TV in US and Europe

From CNET News.com: Sony's new PS Vita TV could eventually land in the US and Europe.

Masayasu Ito, Division President of Business Division 1 at Sony Computer Entertainment, told Engadget at this week's Tokyo Game Show: "Of course we are thinking of launching in the EU and US, but in terms of timing we have to watch the timing and watch the environment carefully."

Demoing the new PlayStation Vita TV at the Tokyo show, Ito said he's already seen a strong response from European and American users indicating a demand for the product.

Set to debut in Japan in November, the PlayStation Vita TV can play Vita games, just like the current PS Vita. But the TV version can also stream PlayStation 4 games and other content to a Wi-Fi enabled TV.

One key question on Sony's mind is whether or not to add more services to the console. Cloud gaming services is a potential candidate.

"It's not that we have decided, but cloud gaming services, how can we work on that,?" Ito told Engadget. "So we are looking at each of the possible items before launching in Europe or the United States."
