ATTO is a favorite benchmarking tool among many. Ever since we have started using it in our network attached storage reviews last year, it has been integral to our battery of storage performance evaluations here at APH Networks -- mainly due to its accuracy, and thorough testing in accordance to varying transfer sizes. As you can see from our graphs, there is quite a difference between read and write performance results. For any transfer sizes from 0.5KB to 32KB, inclusive, we can see that the write performance is almost on par with the results from the Supersonic Magnum, while there are slight differences with anything after 32KB. As far as the read speed is concerned, the Patriot SuperSonic Magnum 64GB is quicker by a good margin, but it is also belongs to a different performance class, based on the speed ratings published by their respective manufacturer. (However, as mentioned on the second page, they both cost around the same, given the same capacity.)
