PCMark is among one of the favorite benchmarking software for PC enthusiasts and reviewers alike, because it provides a very simple way to measure performance of different computers. In PCMark 8, there are up to five tests, which utilize different perspectives. We only included four of the five because the HDD test is not very relevant to a RAM review. In PCMark 8, they also include tests of applications users may have, including Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel) and the Adobe Creative Suite. I had a few issues testing Adobe’s software, and thus I stuck with only Microsoft Office for the application testing. Just to note again, PCMark 8 scores cannot be compared to older versions of PCMark, due to the different algorithms of testing and producing a numerical scores. Looking at the results itself, the Kingston HyperX Fury takes the edge for these tests, winning three of the four total tests, including the Home, Work, and Microsoft Office tests.
