Noctua NF-P12 Redux (1700 PWM, 1300 PWM, 1300, 900) Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

Noctua's Redux line definitely does not sacrifice performance for a reduced price. The scope of delivery is definitely limited, but it is enough. The main point of this line is to reissue old favorites, the NF-P12 PWM and NF-P12, but at a lower price. When it comes to features, the Noctua NF-P12 Redux is not as full as the premium line, but offers some good quality. When it comes to build quality, the frame and the impellers are built well. The features on the frame are limited to keep the price low, but the frame does feature a new design, allowing one to attach the NA-SAVP1 anti-vibration mounts and pads to further limit noise emissions. All of the technical specifications seem to make for an impressive fan, while it is also reflected in the performance tests. Airflow consistency was excellent, as well the static pressure was pretty good too. I expected these fans to be quite a bit louder, especially considering that the frame has no built in anti-vibration measures. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the quiet performance of all the fans. They are a little louder than some of Noctua's newer fans, but for the most part they will perform quietly. Noctua has yet again produced a quiet well performing fan. When it comes to price, it has been substantially lowered from the premium line. For all the Noctua NF-P12 Redux versions, the price comes in at $13.90 USD. When it comes to the different versions, the two PWM fans are probably the best bet, since they will probably run quieter and be able to operate at lower speeds. The price is still expensive for fans, but to have Noctua quality, the lower price is definitely helpful. The NF-P12 Redux is a well priced fan that definitely does not sacrifice performance for price.
