Crystal Disk Mark 3.0 is in the spotlight. Just a bit of background information; higher capacity drives tend to perform a little better in these tests. Drives like the OCZ Vector has a big advantage, because it does not compress data on the fly, In this particular benchmark, the ability of a controller and flash memory to deliver high IOPS will provide huge benefits to the score as well. As you can see in our graphs above, the OCZ Vector 256GB performed very well, as expected. While it did not have uber epic IOPS capabilities delivered by the Vertex 4 in 4K write, the OCZ Vector is a much more consistent product across the board. It delivered close to, if not class leading, performance in every Crystal Disk Mark 3.0 test.
