Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Review

I was recently at the cinema to watch The Super Mario Bros Movie. I remember when I watched the trailer, I was afraid it would be another poorly made video game film adaptation. I may not be the biggest Mario fan, but I do like the different Nintendo franchises and their games. Leading up to the movie, I was impressed by their announced voice cast with well-known actors and actresses voicing the roles. During the movie, I appreciated all of the different references that were animated. Whether it was the different worlds the protagonists visited, the other characters they met along the way, or even just the small Easter eggs found sprinkled in the movie, I was quite excited to see and point them out. At the end, I walked out quite satisfied. It may not have stood out for doing anything superbly well such as character development or plot, but it was a perfectly fine movie to watch. In a similar line of thought, I think this is often what should come out at the end of reviewing products. I do not necessarily expect things to stand out for a primary reason, but I do hope everything we look at leaves a satisfying impression. Today, we have the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro, which is their latest flagship wireless headset. We have seen other headsets from their Stealth lineup, including most recently their Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX and Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX, which are both wireless as well. How does this new Pro headset compare, and will I be left with happy impressions at the end? Let us read on to find out!

Today's review unit of the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro arrived from Turtle Beach's distribution offices in Elwood, Illinois. Traveling with UPS and their Standard ground service, this box arrived in relatively good condition to our APH Networks offices here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Inside, the retail container of the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro can be found with some packing paper to ensure everything is safe inside. While you might think this is a pretty big box for a set of headphones, the retail container is also quite large, as you will see shortly.

The retail container of the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro is pretty typical Turtle Beach, with the headset shown off on the right side. The Turtle Beach logo can be found on the top left, with the product name and description underneath. These are described as a "Noise-Cancelling Gaming Headset". Around the box, you can see the green highlights, along with the "Designed for Xbox" sticker to show this is indeed the Xbox version of the Stealth Pro. There is also a PlayStation version that is made for PS4 and PS5 consoles. However, the Xbox variant works with both consoles. The bottom caption shows it also works with PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices, including both iOS and Android operating systems. A Bluetooth logo also is shown on the top right corner, which is how it connects to the aforementioned mobile devices. Around the box, we have specifications about the Stealth Pro on the side, and more features at the back. One primary difference about the Stealth Pro physical box is that this one opens up by flipping the front panel open like a book.

Before we continue on, I have grabbed the specifications from the manufacturer for your reading pleasure:

One box holds the wireless transmitter, cables, and extra battery. The second box holds a quick start manual and a cloth carrying case. Everything is packaged well and cushioned to prevent any scratches, while the headphones has quite a few pieces of protective tape to reduce any surface nicks or defects that may occur while in transit. Otherwise, let us take a closer look at the Stealth Pro.
