Pavilion Aero 13, HP's Lightest Consumer Laptop, Starts at $749

From PC Mag: Next month, HP will start selling its lightest consumer laptop yet, the Pavilion Aero 13.

The upcoming product weighs under 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds), no matter the configuration, though mass will vary depending on the model. HP achieved the low-weight by using a magnesium aluminum chassis in the top, bottom cover, and keyboard deck of the laptop.

The Windows 10 laptop will start at $749, powered exclusively by AMD’s Ryzen 5000 mobile processors. The CPU maxes out with a Ryzen 7 5800U processor, which has eight cores in addition to a built-in Radeon GPU.

The laptop is also HP’s first to use a 13.3-inch screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio—instead of a 16:9 ratio—giving the product even more vertical viewing space. The company also reduced the bezels around the screen for a 90% screen-to-body ratio, the most ever in a Pavilion laptop.
