From CNET: The new OnePlus Nord 4 has an all-metal unibody design, which OnePlus says is the first of its kind in a 5G phone. Sadly, the device looks set for a Europe-only release, so US fans clamoring for a slick metal phone will have to look on in envy. The Nord 4 is joined by a suite of other new products in the OnePlus summer lineup. These include the Pad 2 tablet, Watch 2R and Nord Buds 3 Pro headphones.
While the Nord 4 phone won't hit US shelves, its £429 UK price roughly converts to $560 or AU$830. The Watch 2R comes in at $230, £249, the Pad 2 at $550, £500 and the Nord Buds 3 Pro will set you back $80, £79 and all three are all due to hit shelves in Europe and the US in the coming weeks.
The Nord 4 comes hot on the heels of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite which launched only a few weeks ago in June. The Nord 4 is more of a midrange device, packing a beefier Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 processor and 100-watt fast charging, which OnePlus says will take it from empty to full in just under 30 minutes.
But its all-metal body may be the standout feature here. OnePlus reckons it's the first metal unibody 5G phone, as all other 5G phones have had to use more glass for the antennas to work properly. I've had it in my hand and It certainly feels sturdy. Its slender 7.99mm body is easy to slide into the pocket of your skinny jeans.
