From The Verge: Microsoft is refreshing its Xbox Wireless Headset today, adding an upgraded microphone and improving the battery life. The refreshed headset will also support Dolby Atmos at no extra cost and Bluetooth 5.3.
This updated model has similar rotating ear cup dials to the original, letting you adjust volume and game / audio chat balance. Microsoft has tweaked the design slightly on the outside, removing the green accent in favor of an all-black look.
The upgraded microphone includes auto-mute and voice isolation to minimize background noise. You can also directly pair this headset with Xbox consoles or mobile devices and PCs through the Bluetooth 5.3 support.
While the original Xbox Wireless Headset lasted for up to 15 hours of battery, this refreshed model will run for 20 hours. This is the second official wireless Xbox headset since the Xbox 360, after Microsoft launched the first Xbox Wireless Headset in March 2021.
Microsoft is bumping up the price for this refreshed version, though. The original shipped for $99, but this new model will be available starting today at $109.99.
