Nintendo Switch 2 Priced at $450, Coming June 5

From CNET: The successor to the 8-year-old Nintendo Switch will arrive June 5 for $449.99. The Switch 2's details are being announced today via Nintendo's video Direct presentation.

The Switch 2 features a larger display than the original Switch. Its 7.9-inch LCD display will be 1080p, support HDR and up to 120fps, making it double the pixels of the original. When docked, the Switch 2 will support 4K. The Joy-Cons are magnetic with bigger analog sticks and will work like a mouse. For storage, the Switch 2 will come with 256GB, a big jump from the first Switch. The Switch 2 will continue to support extra storage, but only the MicroSD Express card, not the original cards used on the first Switch.

Other upgrades coming with the Switch 2 are improved speakers for better audio and a built-in mic to make use of the new chat features with the console. The console also has a new C-Button that will be used to connect with other players with voice chat and video chat with a camera sold separately.

The Switch 2 also has plenty of third-party support. Games such as Elden Ring, Split Fiction, Harry Potter's Hogwarts Legacy and Madden are coming to the new console.
