Asus Ramps Up ROG Xbox Ally X Production to Meet Demand

From PC Mag: Asus may have a high-end gaming handheld hit on its hands. The company plans to increase production of its ROG Xbox Ally X to better meet customer demand.

During a recent investor meeting, Asus said the Ally range is expected to make between $96 million and $160 million this quarter—if it can keep the device in stock, Windows Central reports.

"Since its launch, we see the market response for it has been extremely positive, exceeding our expectations," an Asus spokesperson says. "We are working closely with key component suppliers to ramp up production and fill the demand gap that exists."

At the time of publication, the brand’s top-end model with an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage is out of stock across the US. It has been difficult to buy the console since its launch, despite its high price of $999.99.
