From PC Mag: Personal AI agents are more popular than ever, handling life's most monotonous tasks. With select Pixel phones, Gemini AI can now make phone calls to businesses on your behalf.
Call for Me, in beta on select phones, sits alongside features like Direct My Call and Hold for Me, and is designed to make it easier to field spam and other messages. Call for Me uses an AI-powered Gemini assistant to gather information from businesses by ringing them and asking questions on your behalf.
Gemini can call a business to request quotes, check opening hours, or confirm whether a product is available. Google says it will also be able to book and manage appointments, navigate menus, and wait on hold for you so you can get going with other tasks.
