China's ZTE Sees a Major Rebranding, Revamps Logo, Slogan, and Philosophy

From DailyTech: It's a good time to be a phonemaker in the world's largest smartphone market -- China. Just ask Xiaomi, the world's third largest phonemaker (and top phonemaker in China), who was just valued at $45B USD -- making it one of the most valuable companies in the China (and on of the most valuable tech companies in the world.

For domestic rival ZTE Corp. (SHE:000063), the picture is also looking rosy. Currently in seventh place in global sales, ZTE is valued at just under $10B USD, based on its market cap. The company struggled with declines in operating revenue earlier in the year, but appears to be recovering nicely, having bumped its fiscal forecasts in July. Shares are up nearly 40 percent since last December.

The company appears to be ready to start 2015 on a good foot. It just announced today a major rebranding effort to improve the devicemaker's global appeal. The makeover starts with a redesign of its logo.

The rebrand is completed by a new slogan ("tomorrow never waits") and a new corporate philosophy ("CGO: Cool-Green-Open"). The company explains:

The rounded design and lighter color of the new ZTE logo dovetails with the company’s new CGO philosophy (Cool – Green – Open), which will drive innovations that are dynamic, youthful and compelling to users, sustainable and environmentally responsible, as well as open-minded and collaborative.
