From DailyTech: Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) is rolling out its latest Windows smartphone devices, the Lumia 435 and Lumia 532. The new models are expected to fill in the low-end as ostensibly the cheapest Windows-powered smartphones (barring special deals). Both are powered by the same low-end chip, and neither has LTE. Both do have support for dual-SIM technology, which is coveted in many budget markets like Europe and the Middle East, where users often switch between countries and carriers.
Looking first at the lower end device, the Lumia 435, it should be noted that the title is somewhat deceptive. In terms of spec, it's actually slightly better than the numbering suggests. In terms of spec, it's actually somewhere between the Lumia 530 and the Lumia 535 in most regards.
Microsoft writes: "Pricing for the Lumia 435 is estimated to be 69 euros... Please keep in mind that pricing will vary by market and operator."
Currently preorders appear to be much higher than that, although some of these prices may be erroneous -- but note that Microsoft's price is for the single-SIM model, which hasn't seen much pickup yet. These are the pricier dual-SIM edition. The new model was initially set at £88.49 (~$135 USD) unlocked in the UK, according to retailer Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN). That's nearly twice the price suggested by Microsoft!
To put those numbers in comparison, the Lumia 535 retails for around £89.99 (~$135 USD) on Amazon UK. The pricing on Microsoft's low-end is highly dependent on supply. The real bargain is the Lumia 635 which is seen retailing for £89.99 (~$135 USD) unlocked on Amazon UK.
