From CNET: Thought you'd heard the last of Nokia? Think again -- the company will be launching an Android-based phone in 2017.
"We're just getting started, with new smartphones coming in 2017," a new page on Nokia's website explains "We're busy working on Nokia smartphones running Android."
Details about the phone are scarce, although an earlier rumour suggested there may be two phones, with metal, water resistant designs, Android Nougat software and a very sensitive camera sensor.
It's unlikely that Nokia itself will be building the phones as it used to -- the Nokia brand name was bought earlier this year by manufacturer HMD Global, which will no doubt make the phones and simply slap the Nokia name on top.
