Gamers Still Struggling to Connect to the PlayStation Network

From PC Mag: Looking to do a bit of gaming this weekend? Perhaps you just got your hands on Monster Hunter: World for the PlayStation 4 and you're itching to do some pig-petting, pig-outfitting, or pig-carrying. (Yes, Poogie is kind of a big deal.)

Or maybe you're more into Dragon Ball FighterZ, and you're looking to launch all sorts of flashy-graphics attacks on your friends (or random online players) now that you finally have a copy of the game. Good luck.

According to numerous reports, the Playstation Network has been struggling to stay online all weekend. Currently, Sony's network service status page notes that gamers might have a bit of trouble trying to access both gaming and social services—just about everything you'd want to do with your new multiplayer games on the PlayStation Network.

"You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience," reads Sony's Sunday morning update.

Even Sony's official "Ask PlayStation" Twitter account jumped into the fray yesterday, offering gamers a few helpful suggestions that may or may not allow them to get online and game with their friends.
